Jim Lebret is an academic physician, consultant and advisor in digital health. I am always looking for innovations (tech or not) that bring the best value to patients, providers and payers.
Within NYU School of Medicine, I’m Assistant Professor of Medicine and Clinical Innovation, Director of Code Team Leaders at Bellevue Hospital, Fellow in the Institute for Innovations in Medical Education (IIME) and Director for Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (TIE @NYUMC).
As a consultant, Jim helps the best companies gain clinical insight into what works in front line healthcare. I have current or former relationships with Apple, Cornell Tech, Google, Mount Sinai, Columbia, Northwell, Pfizer, DOH, HHS, Accenture, Sharecare, the New York Times, CityMD, Blueprint Health, IBM-Watson, Oscar, Cloud Medx, HITLAB, UCSF, Stanford, MedicineX, Health 2.0, Medstartr, Kaiser Permanente.
Dr. Lebret also sits on advisory boards at two startups (Cohere Health, LifeTrend), NYU-X and the NYCEDC’s Digital Health Breakthrough Network (matching early stage startups to health facilities in order to find product-market fit).
After graduating from Cornell University with a degree in Neurobiology and Behavior in 2000, I became a Fulbright Scholar to Denmark, attended medical school in Minnesota, then spent over a year treating underserved patients in Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, India and Nepal before completing residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital and Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
